WHERE DRY LAND WHEAT FARMING & CRAFT BEER COLLIDE IN EASTERN, WA.
Wheat Head provides the opportunity to be immersed in the vast Dry Land Wheat Farming culture of the Horse Heaven Hills. Most residents in the Tri-Cities are well aware that we have a lots of surrounding vineyards and wine in the area, but Wheat Head is the first to celebrate the alive and well grain farming culture that spans some of the most sweeping views of the entire Columbia Basin.
Wheat Head is here to put dry land wheat farming on the map through beer. What makes more sense than having a beer on a farm?
Wheat Head was born with the farms inclusive and casual nature at heart. Glenn Miller Ranch was where friends and family came during harvest and throughout the year to escape town and succumb to the peaceful and inviting nature of the farm and farmers. Everyone is always welcome as they are, no need to impress, no stigmas, no exclusion, just a happy place to gather and celebrate farming and craft brewing.
THE BREWERY
Wheat Head is home to our 10bbl brew house & 7 fermentation vessels. Our curated menu of brews derive from the narrative of our dry land wheat farm and our family history. Wheat is harvested, sprouted, roasted or malted, cracked/milled, then brewed. The synergistic relationship between dryland wheat farming and brewing beer is an undeniable treasure to experience at Wheat Head.
THE TASTING ROOM
Some call it beer church. Our taproom was built to showcase the dry land wheat farm & a view into our production. With 19 taps we serve an expansive variety of curated brews with something for everyone. Styles ranging from Wheats ( of course ) to Stouts to Sours to IPA's to Specialty Ales with ingredients sourced by local collaborations.
